For the fourth consecutive year, the Atlanta Science Festival (ASF) is launching a 12-day celebration of science and technology throughout Metro Atlanta. The 2017 festivities will begin on Tuesday, March 14th, and run through Saturday, March 25th, culminating with ASF’s Exploration Expo, Atlanta’s biggest interactive science event geared for the entire family.
One hundred and thirteen individual events have been scheduled throughout Metro Atlanta for the festival, including facility tours, presentations, performances and many hands-on activities for all ages.
Renown astronaut Captain Mark Kelly, will kick off the festivities on Tuesday, March 14th with a captivating insider’s perspective on living in outer space for an extended period of time, and the effects it has on the human body–an experiment he conducted alongside his twin brother. Reservations are required.
Although some of the events require a fee, most of them are free to attend. In some instances, however, reservations are required due to space constraints. Additionally, the organizers have labeled each event for specific audiences: preschool, children, teens, families, and adults.
