A one-day course focusing on getting educators ‘up and running’ with Arduinos, designed for educators in the grades 6-12.
Designed for educators in the grades 6-12 with little experience with Arduino boards, this workshop covers all of the basics through hands-on projects.
This workshop includes an Arduino Project Starter Kit with everything you need for the projects.
Learning Objectives:
-Learn the foundational principles that make the Arduino work, such as circuits and electricity
-Become familiar with the physical components of the Arduino, like resistors, sensors and motors
-Learn the basics of the Arduino programming language and how to control inputs and outputs
-Complete a variety of class-ready projects designed to engage students
Projects Include:
-Morse Code with LED Controls
-Live-Feedback Fan with a DC Motor
-Robotic Sweepers with Servomotors
-Using a wide variety of sensors
Who Should Attend this Workshop? Grades 6-12 Teachers, Administrators, IT Professionals and Technology Coaches and Specialists.
Other Information and Requirements:
Attendees must bring their own laptops to the workshop.
